Winter Season and Our Health

As daylight shortens, and the dark nights are getting longer, it can be difficult to stay motivated and exercise during the wintry months. A lack of activity and exercise, comfortable clothing, and staying indoors for longer is also a time for diseases to come knocking on our health.

Indoor air quality can be just as bad during these months as outdoor air quality. Air pollution from sources like gas stoves, wood burning fireplaces or even smoking cigarettes in your home can cause symptoms such as coughing and wheezing which can make living in the winter difficult for people who have asthma and other respiratory issues.

If you tend to exercise when the temperatures are warm and there’s plenty of daylight, we don't blame you.
